From the day you start and receive your first safety orientation, you realize Leduc Truss is a little different than most companies to work for.  To start with, Leduc Truss is an industry leader in health and safety, has been C.O.R.E. certified since the year 2000 and promotes a drug free work place.


All new employees receive on the job training for their positions with opportunities to receive sawyer, forklift and first aid training and certification.  After 3 months, employees may qualify for additional Q/C training required to become a lead hand.  Employees promoted to lead hand positions receive a ‘lead hand premium’ added to their regular salary for taking on the additional responsibilities of their immediate work area.  Regular lead hand meetings are held with management to review and address any recommendations or concerns and improve the work environment.


Also after 3 months of employment, all new employees are enrolled in the company group and health plan as either a single or family plan member.  The group health plan includes prescription drugs, medical, dental and glasses costs, short and long term disability and life insurance coverage.


The management of Leduc Truss also believes in promoting from with-in when ever possible.  In addition to station leader and shop and yard foremen positions, past shop employees have gone on to fill many key rolls in the office.  These office positions include production personnel, design technicians, sales and managerial positions.
