Delivery Driver
(outside position)
Delivery drivers are responsible for the delivery of finished material to the job site. They will be required to safely operate all delivery vehicles including: 1/2 ton, 1 ton, 5 ton, and two 3 tons with 24 to 32 foot trailers. Drivers for vehicles
Yard Helper
(outside position)
Yard helpers assist and report to a forklift driver. They may help in packaging engineered wood I-Joists and beams into floor orders or may be enlisted to help put together and package truss orders.
Component & Pull Saw Sawyer
(inside position)
The component saws are fully automated. It is the responsibility of the component sawyer to ensure that all angles and lengths of lumber cut are within tolerance. The component sawyer works closely with the stacker to ensure quality, proper stacking and productivity are maintained.
Truss Builder
(inside position)
Builders are responsible for building the trusses and packages according to the specification sheet attached to each order. New builders will work under the guidance of a lead hand in teams of two or three workers. These positions require the use of air staplers, nail guns, hammers and measuring tapes.
Forklift Operator
(outside position)
The forklift operators are responsible for the movement of truss bundles from the stacking area to the storage area where several bundles of trusses and any other misc. items required to complete the order are packaged together and banded. The forklift operator is also responsible for the loading of the
Truss Stacker/Cladding
(outside position)
The stacker is responsible for removing and stacking completed trusses. There are normally two to three workers in this area. After the truss exits the production area, it is manually picked up and stacked. When the order is complete, the stacker then bands the package ready for removal to storage. On
Picker/Component Saw Stacker
(outside and inside positions)
The picker is responsible for getting the lumber (based on pick lists) from the yard to the green chains for the component saws. The picker works directly with the forklift operators.
The stacker position is similar to the picker position.
